Getting your Docs out of Help Scout

Help Scout has no export button for Docs. Its own data export article says the Docs API is the only way to get articles out, which usually means writing code.

Clevera does that part for you, with no code.

No code, just a key

Paste your Docs API key and Clevera reads your Docs site for you.

Your redirects come too

Old article links and the redirects you set up in Help Scout come over.

No key? Use your public site.

Clevera can read your public Docs site instead.

What comes over

What stays behind

Your custom stylesheet, article ratings, view counts, authors, dates and file attachments stay in Help Scout. Private collections come over as normal pages, so untick them in the preview before you publish.

How it works

1

Connect Help Scout.

Paste your Docs API key or your public site address. No developer needed.

2

Check the preview.

See every article before anything moves, and untick what you don’t want.

3

Import.

Articles, images, links and redirects come over. It’s free and uses no credits.

4

Publish on your domain.

Go live when you’re ready. Old links redirect once your domain points to Clevera.

Keep the Help Scout inbox

You don’t have to give up the Help Scout inbox to move your help center. Keep Help Scout for email and chat, and point Beacon’s suggestions at your new Clevera articles.

What you get after the move

Answers with sources

Ask AI answers readers from your published pages and lists the pages it used. It uses no credits.

Monthly allowance: 300 answers on Free, 1,000 on Starter, 5,000+ on Pro.

Add languages to the same site instead of running a site per language. Titles and menu labels are translated for you, and readers switch in the header.

Published languages per site: 2 on Free, 5 on Starter, unlimited on Pro. Translating articles uses credits.

A video in every article

Record your screen once and Clevera makes the how-to video and the article. Drop a Clevera video into any imported page.

Videos and articles use credits. The import itself doesn’t make videos.

Know what to write next

See searches that found nothing and what readers asked Ask AI, with Write article next to each gap.

Every plan. Your own domain (help.yourcompany.com) from Starter.
